Operation
Prior to startup and operation, you should become familiar with the control
switches located on the front of the monitor. The illustrations that follow
identify these switches and the display features.
This chapter describes the operation of the meter, its display and controls,
how to set it up, calibrate it, the security feature, use of the optional data
logger, and other operational issues.
Model 8400 series meters are supplied with a hand-held magnet that
activates front-panel switches when the user touches it to one of four icons on
the bottom of the display panel. To prevent tampering, keep the magnet in a
separate location from the instrument.
