Prior to operating the system, the chlorine probe must be prepared for use.
Preparation includes disassembly of the probe to install a new membrane and
to fill the probe with electrolyte. An exploded view of the chlorine probe is
provided in
Figure

The membrane used for the free chlorine probe must be checked for
absorbency prior to its installation.
1. Fill a cup with tap water.
2. Using tweezers, gently place a membrane on top of the water surface,
being careful not to immerse the membrane. The membrane must float on
top.
