Controller messages
If the master does not transfer data to the slaves for more than approximately 5 seconds, all slaves switch to individual mode to ensure
the function of the entire network.
If a slave device does not respond after the data retrieval command has been sent 5 times by the master, the master device controller
displays the "Communication 29" message. For this to happen, the message must not be blocked.
The message is automatically acknowledged when the relevant slave responds.

For activating the "Communication 29" message, see chapter 5.2 "Setting the controller parameters" on page 11 .

Control Basic
You can use the "▲▼" arrow buttons at the operator panel of the master controller to hide or display the status of the connected slaves
if no message is displayed.
Proceed as follows when the "Communication 29" message is displayed:
•
Simultaneously press "Auto" and "▼" at the controller's operator panel.

The status of the unresponsive slave is displayed.

Example: The slave (SL) with address number 2 is in manual mode (H).
You can display this controller information:
SL
= Slave
1-10
= Address number
?
= Master/Slave operation is switched off or the slave does not respond
S
= Stop mode
H
= Manual mode
A
= Automatic
E
= Error
•
= The Master device is switched off
Note!
If necessary, check whether the unresponsive slave is functioning.
