Connecting a VGA display

Note: This section discusses the connection of a Lenovo 1U 18.5-inch Standard Media
Console, 1723-8BX, to a Lenovo ThinkSystem Analog 1x8 KVM switch, 1754-A1T. The
connection instructions also apply to any other VGA display.
In order to connect a VGA monitor such as the ThinkSystem Analog 1x8 KVM switch, 1754-A1T,
with a Lenovo 1U 18.5-inch Standard Media Console, 1723-8BX, the active ThinkSystem VGA to
DVI Conversion Cable part number 4X97A11108 must be used.
Important! In order to avoid any display problems on VGA monitor such as the Lenovo 1U
18.5-inch Standard Media Console, 1723-8BX, the power cable of the active
ThinkSystem VGA to DVI Conversion Cable part number 4X97A11108 must be
connected.
Connect the power cable shipped with the ThinkSystem VGA to DVI Conversion Cable to one of
the USB ports on the KVM switch as shown in the image below.
