Chapter 3 Installation
Connecting a display
In order to connect a display the ThinkSystem Analog 1x8 KVM switch, 1754-A1T, the following
applies:
Display has a VGA port: Use the passive DVI-to-VGA conversion plug
Display has a DVI-D port: Use the active ThinkSystem VGA to DVI Conversion Cable, part number
Important! In order to avoid any display problems on monitor with a DVI-D port the power
cable of the active ThinkSystem VGA to DVI Conversion Cable must be
connected.
Connect the power cable shipped with the ThinkSystem VGA to DVI Conversion
Cable to one of the USB ports on the KVM switch as shown in the image below.
