At this point both the rocker arms should have
free play. Otherwise rotate the rear wheel about
360º and align the marks once again.
Check the valve clearance when the engine is in cold
l
condition using a feeler gauge.

Note:
Ensure to inspect the clearance of both the inlet
valves without fail.
If the clearance measured is not within the specified
l
limit, loosen the tappet nut .

Adjust the valve clearance using special tool.

Feeler gauge
After adjusting to the specified clearance, using the
l
special tool hold the tappet screw in the same
position and tighten the tappet nut.

After adjusting both the valves free play reassemble
l
the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Oil cooler assembly fins
Inspect and clean at 6000 km first and every
3000 km thereafter.
Remove the oil cooler assembly
l
Gently dislocate the guard oil cooler along with cup
l
washers from the oil cooler assembly.
Visually inspect the oil cooler fins for any blockage.
l
If found any, clean them using a small blunt tool and
l
compressed air.
