CARBURETTOR ASSEMBLY
Inspect and set engine idling rpm at initial
500 km and every 3000 km thereafter. Clean and
adjust the carburettor at initial 500 km if required
and every 12000 km thereafter. Inspect and set
idling CO% at initial 500 km.

TAPPET CLEARANCE

Inspect at initial 500 km and every 6000 km
thereafter. Adjust if necessary.
For easy aligning of TDC mark, start the engine and
l
switch it off after running few minutes one or two
times.
Remove the cover frame R & L.
l
Turn 'OFF' the fuel cock and disconnect the fuel hose
l
either from the carburettor or from the fuel cock.
Remove the fuel tank assembly.
l
Remove the spark plug.
l
Remove the ignition coil
l
Remove the hexagonal flange bolts (M6x25 - 4 nos.)
l
from the mounting of cover cylinder head.
8 mm spanner
Dislocate the cover cylinder from the left hand side of
l
the vehicle.
Remove plug TDC along with the gasket.
l
17 mm spanner
Remove plug crankshaft hole
l
10 mm allen key
Align the TDC mark (A) on rotor assembly with centre
l
of the inspection hole provided in the cover magneto
by rotating the rotor assembly.
17 mm tubular spanner
1500 ± 100
1 ~ 4 turns
< 1.0 ~ 3% (with SAI & CAT )
