5. Replace battery with 3500800-0007 or 3500800-0008 battery only. Use of
another battery may present a risk of fire or explosion.
6. The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if
mistreated. Risk of Fire and Burns. Do Not Open, Crush, Heat (above 50 ˚C) or
Incinerate. Follow the instructions in this user manual.
7. Do not dismantle, open or shred the battery.
8. Do not short circuit the battery. Do not store batteries haphazardly in a box or
drawer where they may short circuit each other or be short circuited by
conductive materials.
9. Do not remove a battery from its original packaging until required for use.
10. Do not expose batteries to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
11. Do not subject the batteries to mechanical shock.
12. In the event of a cell leaking, do not allow the liquid to come into contact with
the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with
copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
13. Store the batteries in a dry place at a temperature between 0 ˚C and +40 ˚C.
14. Secondary (rechargeable) batteries give their best performance when they are
operated at room temperature (20 ˚C +/- 5 ˚C).
15. Only charge batteries with a Hughes 4201.
16. The Hughes 4201 charges with a constant-voltage, constant current battery
charger circuit with the following parameters:
a. Nominal charge voltages: 8.40 VDC
(Maximum charge voltage: 8.50 VDC)
b. Nominal charge current: 3200 mA
(Maximum charge current: 3250 mA)
c. Charge temperature range: 0 ˚C to +40 ˚C
1. Dispose of used battery promptly. Keep away from children. Do not
disassemble and do not dispose of in fire.
2. When disposing of batteries, keep cells or batteries of different
electrochemical systems separate from each other.
3. Recycle or dispose of this battery in accordance with local regulations.
