3-9 PUTTING THE HARROW INTO THE FIELD

There are several important steps that you
must take before you are able to use the 7130 To
The Max Roller Harrow in the field. Be sure to read
this operator's manual and follow all safety proce-
dures before operating this machine.
3-9.1
Unfolding And Preparing For Work:
a. Unhook the wing safety chains (See Figure
3-10).
b. From the tractor, set folding, lowering, and
cover board remote hydraulic flow valves to
their slowest position (See Figure 3-11). Re-
fer to your tractor's operator's manual for
proper procedure.
c. Raise cover boards to the raised position
(See Figure 3-12).
IMPORTANT
DAMAGE TO COVER BOARD WILL RESULT
IF YOU FAIL TO FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE.
d. Slowly unfold the wings. Once wings are
completely unfolded, set wing valve to the
FLOAT position.
e. Carefully lower harrow (See Figure 3-13).
f. When the leveling boards are approximately
one foot above the ground, slowly roll the
tractor forward as you finish lowering the har-
row to its working position.
g. Lower the hydraulic cover boards and set
correct down pressure (See Figure 3-14).
IMPORTANT
THE HYDRAULIC VALVE MUST BE SET TO
CONSTANT PRESSURE DOWN TO FUNCTION
CORRECTLY.
