3-2 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

·
All operator's are to be instructed in the safe
and proper use of this machine and must
understand all safety decals as well as all
written instructions in the manual.
·
Safety instructions are important. Read this
manual, the tractor manual, and all safety
rules.
·
Know your controls and how to stop engine
and attachment quickly in an emergency.
·
Operator's must read this manual and be
capable of the safe operation of the
equipment, its attachments, and all controls.
Do not allow anyone to operate this
equipment without proper instructions.
·
Keep all safety signs in good condition.
Replace when necessary.

3-3 OPERATIONAL SAFETY

·
When this equipment is operated in
populated areas, extreme care must be
taken. If anyone comes within several
hundred feet, suspend operation.
·
Keep bystanders away from equipment
while in operation.
·
Operate only in daylight or with good
artificial light that illuminates the entire
operating area.
·
Only use tractor with ROPS and seat belt.
Securely fasten seat belt. Falling off tractor
can result in being run over.
·
Always comply with all state and local
lighting and marking requirements.
·
No riders are allowed on equipment.
·
Always sit in tractor seat when operating
controls or starting engine. Place
transmission in park or neutral, engage
brake and ensure all other controls are
disengaged before starting tractor engine.
·
Do not operate on steep slopes.

Find a spacious, clear, and level surface to
perform any maintenance or adjustments.
·
Never work around running machinery.
·
Never remove obstructions from machinery
while tractor engine is still running.
·
DO NOT walk under the harrow when wings
are elevated.
·
DO NOT ride on harrow frame.
·
Any damage/deterioration on any parts
should be repaired/ replaced immediately by
capable operators to reduce the risk of
personal injury.
·
Regularly check the condition of the u-bolts
and bearing assemblies. Replace any
suspect parts to prevent accidents.
·
Do not stop, start, or change directions
suddenly on slopes.
·
Use extreme care and reduce ground speed
on sloped and rough terrain.
·
Watch for hidden hazards on the terrain
during operation.
·
Stop tractor and attachment immediately
upon striking an obstruction. Turn off
engine, remove key. Inspect and repair any
damage before resuming operation.
DANGER
WINGS MUST BE UNFOLDED BEFORE
LOWERING THE HARROW TO THE
GROUND. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL
RESULT IN SEVERE OPERATOR IN-
JURY.
