Gas Valve Assembly Removal
1. Remove 2 screws from bracket securing gas line to the
valve. Rotate retainer to release. Pull the line out away
from the valve. Ensure the o-ring is intact.
2. Disconnect the POV solenoid wiring harness
solenoid or the connector in the middle of the harness -
yellow/yellow wires on rear of gas valve).
3. Unplug SV0 main solenoid harness
front of gas valve).
4. Remove 2 screws that secure the gas inlet fitting to the
bottom of the water heater cabinet and gas valve. Pull
the fitting off of the unit. Ensure the o-ring is intact.
5. Remove the remaining screw from the bottom of the unit
and remove the gas valve from the cabinet.
