  • Page 14 Setting Up the Appliance After carefully removing the Sun Ray 100 enterprise appliance from the packing carton, set it up using the following procedures. Note – Your appliance operates by communicating over the network with a server on which the Sun Ray administration software has been installed. If the appliance does not operate correctly after the following procedure, check with your system administrator to make sure the Sun Ray enterprise server has been set up.

  • Page 19 LED Indicators The Sun Ray 100 enterprise appliance has two LED indicators (Power/Fault and Smart Card), whose states are shown in the table below. State What it means Power/Fault The unit is not plugged in. Yellow The LED briefly lights for 2-3 seconds at power on while the unit checks the hardware.
