The following troubleshooting tables cover common problems that may occur with this machine. If you
need replacement parts or additional troubleshooting help, contact our Technical Support.
Note: Before contacting Tech Support, find the machine serial number and manufacture date, and if
available, your original purchase receipt. This information is required to properly assist you.

Troubleshooting

POSSIBLE.CAUSE

CORRECTIVE.ACTION
1. Install switch disabling key.
2. Ensure correct power supply voltage and circuit
size.
3. Replace fuse.
4. Ensure circuit is sized correctly and free of shorts.
Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse.
5. Check/fix broken, disconnected, or corroded
wires.
6. Test/replace if at fault.
7. Inspect/replace if at fault.
8. Remove/replace brushes (Page 37).
9. Reset circuit breaker; inspect/replace if at fault.
10. Inspect/replace if at fault.
11. Test/repair/replace.
1. Use sharp chisels; reduce feed rate/depth of cut.
2. Only cut wood/ensure moisture is below 20%.
3. Decrease feed rate/cutting speed.
4. Tension/replace belt (Page 36); ensure pulleys are
aligned (Page 35); ensure belt is clean and not
damaged.
5. Tighten/replace loose pulley/shaft.
6. Test/replace if at fault.
Remove/replace brushes (Page 37).

8. Inspect/replace if at fault.
9. Test/repair/replace.
1. Inspect/replace damaged bolts/nuts, and retight-
en with thread-locking fluid.
2. Adjust rubber feet.
3. Inspect/replace belt (Page 36). Re-align pulleys if
necessary (Page 35).
4. Re-align/replace shaft, pulley, set screw, and key.
5. Center workpiece in chuck/faceplate; reduce RPM;
replace defective chuck.
6. Tighten/replace.
7. Test by rotating shaft; rotational grinding/loose
shaft requires bearing replacement.
