Initialize the Disk
This function:
• Formats the disk.
• Writes the machine serial number on the first sector of the disk.
It should be used in the case of I/O errors on disk (see "Hard Disk Trouble Analysis and Replacement"
on page 11-18).
Disk Initialization Procedure
• The IML must have been made from the
diskette (see page 11-4).
• You must be in service mode 1 or 2 at the
control panel.
