5.2.6 Bi-Directional Adjustment

You need to perform the bi-directional adjustment if:
T
You remove or replace the printhead.
T
You replace the main board.
T
You replace an old PROM (version TEE01A, 01B, or 01C) with a
new one (TEE01D or later).
T
You notice that vertical lines appear staggered or misaligned.
NOTE:
If you initialize the EEPROM (see
the Bi-D adjustment value is not erased and you don't have
to perform a Bi-D adjustment as with previous models.
The Bi-D adjustment is always the last adjustment you should

make. Never perform other adjustments, such as the
printhead ID input or the printhead angular adjustment, after
changing the Bi-D adjustment values.
5.2.6.1 Printing the Bi-D Adjustment Pattern
Follow these steps to print the Bi-D adjustment pattern and check the
current settings:
