3.1.1.3 Remedies for the Ink Low or Ink Out Error
Check for problems in the order listed below when the black or color
Ink Out light comes on or blinks, even though the ink cartridges have
been replaced with new ones.
NOTE: If you answer "Yes" to a question listed under "Problem," take
the action described to the right under "Solution." If "No,"
proceed to the next step.

The ink consumption counter keeps track of ink usage

Install new ink cartridges correctly, and make sure the
user understands the proper replacement procedure.

sensor actuator check that they push against the micro switches. Also
working properly? check that the actuators return to their normal position
when released, as shown in the figure below.
