Programming with DSC – Call Menu

Read new messages

Press
/
to select "Input" and press
OK.
If there is more than one message, press
/
to select the message you want to read
and press OK.
Press
/
to move through the message
line by line forwards or backwards. Press
<< / >> to move to the left or right in the mes-
sage.
After you have finished reading
Press CL.
"CLEAR MESSAGE ?" will appear in the dis-
play.
Select "Yes" to delete the message, select
"No" to save the message in "Storage".
Calling the sender or another telephone
If you would like to call whoever sent the
message,
press
while the message is on dis-
play.
The telephone will automatically call the
corresponding number. If the message con-
tains a telephone number in "quotation
marks", the call will be made to that number.
If there are several different telephone num-
bers in quotation marks, the call will be made
to the first one.

Sending SMS messages

Press
/
to select "Output" and
press OK.
For a completely new message, select
"New". Under "Patterns" you can select pre-
pared texts. With "Edit" you can alter one of
the messages saved in Storage.
Press
/
to select the desired func-
tion and press OK.
Now you can begin to enter your message.
If necessary, read the information in the
section on "How to enter a name/text".
Press OK once you have completed
your message.
"Number:" will appear in the display.
Enter the recipient's number and press
OK.
Press
/
to select "Send", "Store" or
"Both" and press OK.
The transmission report will appear briefly
in the display.

Read/clear stored messages

Press
/
to select "Storage" and
press OK.
If there are several different messages,
press
/
to select the message you want
and press OK.
When you have finished reading,
press CL.
"CLEAR MESSAGE ?" will appear in the dis-
play.
Select "Yes" to delete the message, select
"No" to save the message in the "Storage".

Broadcast

Cell Broadcast is a short message service
which is transmitted in numbered "chan-
nels".
The channels send different special mes-
sages.
Contact your service provider for more de-
tailed information and a list of the available
channels.
When Broadcast is set to "On", you must
enter the number of the channel from which
you are expecting information after press-
ing OK.
