Programming with DSC – Setup

KeyCard LED

You can choose between LED ON or LED
OFF. If you select LED ON, the KeyCard
tongue will flash as an additional anti-theft
device when the unit has been switched off
and the KeyCard removed.

BEEP

Confirmation beep following functions which
require you to press the button for longer
than 1 second.
Set volume from 0 to 9 (0 = off).

Keytones

After a key is pressed, a short beep is emit-
ted as confirmation.
Set volume from 0 to 9 (0 = off).

Vario Colour

Adjusts the colour of the display illumina-
tion to the dashboard illumination.

Brightness

Adjusts the brightness of the display illumi-
nation, available separately for day (D) and
night (N).

Angle

Adjusts the angle of the display to your per-
sonal preference.

Ignition timer

Use this setting to allow the car radio to play
for a maximum of 90 minutes after the igni-
tion has been switched off.
0 = ignition timer switched off.

Change code

The access to important DSC menu items
(for telephone operation as well) is protect-
ed with a security code.
At the factory, this code is set to "0000".
If you would like to alter it be sure to make
a note of the new code!
Enter the original code (in this case "0000")
and press OK.
Enter the new code, press OK. Enter the
new code once again, press OK.

User mode

If you select this menu item, you will be re-
quired to enter the access code after you
press OK. Enter the access code and press
OK.
You can choose between the following user
modes:
Standard
Radio only
Any changes made will not take effect until
you have quit the menu.

Reset

If you select this menu item, you will be re-
quired to enter the access code after you
press OK. Enter the access code and press
OK. Press CL to cancel the process, or con-
firm by pressing OK.
Three selections will appear in the display:
Radio
Phone
SIM card.
If you select "Radio" or "Phone", all of the
settings altered in the DSC menu including
the telephone menu will be reset to the fac-
tory default settings.
All of the trained KeyCards and SIM cards
will also be deleted, with the exception of
the KeyCard currently in the unit.
If you select "SIM card", all of the data stored
on the SIM card will be deleted.
