Programming with DSC – Radio

VOLUME FIX

Allows you to set the volume at which the
unit switches on.
Use << / >> to set the desired volume. If
"Last Volume" is selected, the car radio will
switch on at the volume level which was last
set before it was switched off. "Last Volume"
can be activated after "Level +01".

Sensitivity

You can adjust the search sensitivity to three
different levels: high, mid-range, low.
Press << / >> to alter the setting.
DX: for distant reception
LO: for local reception

AUXILIARY SOURCE

This menu item will not appear if a CD
changer has been connected to the system.
The default setting is "OFF".
If an external piece of equipment is connect-
ed to the system, this setting must be
switched to "ON".

Read KeyCard

This menu item will appear only if a Key-
Card is inserted.
It is possible to read out the data on a Key-
Card.
Using the KeyCard included with the deliv-
ery, it is possible to display the equipment
data such as name, type number (76 ...) and
serial number.
If you remove the KeyCard while it is being
read, "CHANGE CARD" will appear in the
display. You can read out the data on any
number of other KeyCards, including those
belonging to other equipment. You can no
longer operate the system except to switch
it off.
As soon as you have inserted a KeyCard
belonging to this unit once again, you can
press OK to return to the radio mode.

Music/Speech

In future, different RDS radio stations will
differentiate between music and speech pro-
grams.
The tone setting for speech programs rang-
es between "LEVEL 1 ... 4".
Off – Music/speech is switched off.
LEVEL 1 – Linear (no bass, treble, loud-
ness adjustment)
LEVEL 2-4 – Different settings for volume,
bass and treble with loud-
ness switched off.
Test the settings to find out which one you
prefer.
Save settings / end DSC programming:
• Press DSC/OK and CL one after the
other.
