The installation is complete. If you need to turn on the UPS, refer to applicable procedures according to the actual
situation.

8.2.2 BCB Box

The UPS provides a BCB box as a mandatory part. The BCB box contains two BCBs and two BCB control boards.
The characteristics of the BCB box depend on the UPS power rating. Normally, the UPS must be configured with an
applicable BCB to disconnect the battery from the UPS for UPS repair or in the event of an UPS fault.
The BCB box provides over-discharge and over-current protections for the battery. It can also electrically isolate the
UPS from the battery to minimize the danger of the service personnel at work.
Table 6-3 provides the dimensions and weight of the BCB box. For the installation of the BCB box, refer to 6.9 BCB
Box (Mandatory).

8.2.3 Battery Temperature Sensor

The battery temperature sensor is used to detect the battery temperature. With this function, we can adjust the float
charging voltage of the battery to make it inversely proportional to the ambient temperature of the battery, so as to
prevent the over-charge of the battery at high ambient temperature.
The battery temperature sensor is mounted tightly on the surface near the battery where it can detect the highest
battery temperature. The sensor is connected to the UPS logic circuit through the BCB control board. Figure 6-5
shows the connection.

8.2.4 Battery Ground Fault Detector

The UPS provides a battery ground fault detector to detect and remove battery ground fault so as to ensure reliable
system operation. Residual current range monitored: 30mA ~ 5000mA; power supply: UHW241M5 auxiliary power
supply board.
When a battery ground fault is detected, an alarm will appear on the UPS display panel.
The battery ground fault detector includes a current transformer and a PCB, which should be installed in the BCB box.
For the installation and connection of the battery ground fault detector, refer to 6.11 Battery Ground Fault Detector
(Option).

8.2.5 LBS Cable

The UPS provides LBS cable in length 10m, 15m, 20m and 30m to keep the outputs of two independent UPSs (or
parallel systems) in a dual bus system in synchronization.
For the connection of the LBS cable, refer to 7.4.4 LBS Cable..

8.2.6 Parallel Cable

The UPS provides shielded and double insulated parallel cables in length 5m, 10m, 15m. The parallel cables must be
interconnected in a ring configuration between all UPS modules to manage the UPS module synchronizatin, load
sharing and bypass transfer, thus ensuring the high reliability of the control of the parallel system.
For the connection of the parallel cables, refer to 7.2.5 Parallel Cable.

8.2.7 SIC Card

If you need to monitor the UPS through network, you may select the SIC card, which supports SNMP protocol.
The SIC card is a network management card. It can make the UPS made by Emerson real network equipment. It can
also be connected to the IRM series sensor to provide environment monitoring function. When the intelligent
equipment generates an alarm, the SIC card can notify the user by recording the log, sending trap information and
sending a mail.
For the installation and setting of the SIC card, refer to Site Interface Web/SNMP Agent Card User Manual.
