This UPS system receives power from more than one source . Disconnection of all AC sources and the DC source is
required before servicing.
This UPS has several circuits that are energized with high DC as well as AC voltages. Check for voltage with both AC and
DC voltmeters before working within the UPS.
All the battery physical maintenance and servicing procedures need special tools or keys and should be carried out only by
trained personnel.
Take special care when working with the batteries associated with this UPS. When the batteries are connected together, the
battery terminal voltage exceeds 400Vdc and is potentially lethal.
Battery manufacturers supply details of the necessary precautions to be observed in working on or in the vicinity of battery
strings. These precautions should be followed implicitly at all times. Particular attention should be paid to the
recommendations concerning local environmental conditions and the provision of protective clothing, first aid and
fire-fighting facilities.
