When the indicator lamp on the vehicle
socket lights up, this means the following:
Indicator lamp
Flashes
green slowly
Lights up
green
Flashes
orange
slowly
Flashes

Flashes red
quickly
High-voltage battery is
charging.
High-voltage battery is
fully charged.
Vehicle waiting for charg-
ing to start.
Vehicle is paused from
charging.
A malfunction occurred
during charging.
Charging the battery at a charging sta-
tion or wall box
Charging stations without communica-
tions functionality
Charging stations without communications
functionality must be activated before
charging, e.g. by using an RFID card. Observe
the notes provided by the charging station
operator.
Charging stations with communication
capabilities (Plug&Charge)
If the vehicle is connected to a charging sta-
tion with communication capabilities, infor-
mation and technical parameters are
exchanged so that the charging process can
be started without additional activation.
This function is called "Plug&Charge".
Due to the data transfer, it may take up to
30 seconds after the charging cable is con-
nected before charging begins.

International Standard ISO 15118 is used
for the communication between the vehicle
and the intelligent charging station.
A suitable electricity contract is required in
order to use "Plug&Charge". To arrange this,
contact the charging station operator.
