Messages
Depending on adjustable events, various messages can be sent from the device. The
following message types are supported:
· Sending of E-Mails
· SNMP Traps
· Syslog messages
E-Mail messages
E-Mail messages are triggered by the following events:
· Turning on the device
· Switching of the Power Ports
· Loss / return of voltage
· Exceeding of the max / min values of attached sensors
· State change of digital sensor input ports
· Exceeding of max / min values of the measured power consumption
· Condition change of overvoltage protection
SNMP Traps
SNMP Traps are system messages that are sent via the SNMP protocol to different re-
cipients. SNMP traps are triggered by the following events:
· Switching of the Power Ports
· Exceeding of the max / min values of attached sensors
· State change of digital sensor input ports
· Exceeding of max / min values of the measured power consumption
· Condition change of overvoltage protection
Syslog messages
Syslog messages are simple text messages that are sent via UDP to a syslog server.
Under Linux, normally a syslog daemon is already running (eg. syslog-ng), for Mi-
