Checking the Kit Contents

These instructions assume that you have an IBM 6868 system and you
need to install the fan kit. The installation of the fan kit is divided into
three sections:
• Checking the kit contents
• Preparing for installation
• Installing the fan kit
These instructions assume you have the boards in the proper PCI slots. These
instructions do not explain how to remove and replace boards in the system.
Before you begin installing the fan kit, check the contents of the fan kit
against the packing list to confirm that you have received all the parts.
The fan kit is already assembled with the fan attached to the support
bracket (see Figure 4-12).
