Complete Condenser Centration

If you have purchased a standard Leica
DM 750 configuration, the condenser has
already been pre-centered by Leica Microsys-
tems. Go on to section "Condenser Aperture"
on page 43.
1. Open the condenser aperture by rotating
the knurled ring on the condenser to the
right.

Be sure the condenser is raised to its
highest position

2. Draw an "X" on a business card size paper
and place it on the light exit of the micro-
scope stand, so the "X" is centered over the
illumination.
3. Look through the eyepieces and use the
provided tool with the set screws (or
thumbscrews if you have a Leica DM 750
with Koehler illumination) to more accu-
rately center the condenser by observing
the X and centering it in the field of view by
tightening the screws.
