Replacement routines
Ê Close the server (for a detailed description see the Options Guide) and
connect the power plug.

The ID PROM on the new Chassis ID board must be programmed with
the help of the „ChassisIDProm Tool".
You will find the tool on the ServerSupport CD and/or it can be
downloaded from the Fujitsu Siemens Computers Service and Support
Internet page (FSC Web-Server/URL: http://www.fsc-pc.de).

Replacing the system board

Ê Remove the side cover as described in section "Preparation" on page 17.
Ê Remove the processor fan 2 as described in section "Removing the
processor fan 2" on page 17.
Ê Remove the system fan as described in section "Removing the system fan"
on page 18.
Ê Remove the memory air duct as described in section "Removing the
memory air duct" on page 18.
Ê Remove the processor fan 1 as described in section "Removing the
processor fan 1" on page 18.
Ê Remove all cables from the connector panel.
Ê Lay the server on the right side on a table.
Ê Remove all cables which may be connected to the system board.
Ê Remove the heat sinks and the processors (for description see the Options
Guide).
Ê Remove the memory modules (for description see the Options Guide).
Ê Remove all installed expansion boards (for description see the Options
Guide). Take note of the slots of the expansion boards and the cabling.
