4.1.3

Removing the system fan

Ê Remove the side cover as described in section "Opening the server" on
page 17.
Ê Remove the processor fan 2 as described in section "Removing the
processor fan 2" on page 17.
Ê Pull the locking bar upward and remove the system fan.
Ê Disconnect the plug of the system fan cable from the system board
(connector Rear Fan, see system board foil D2530).
4.1.4

Removing the memory air duct

The memory air duct is mounted on a traverse.
Ê Remove the side cover as described in section "Opening the server" on
page 17.
Ê Remove the processor fan 2 as described in section "Removing the
processor fan 2" on page 17.
Ê Remove the system fan as described in section "Removing the system fan"
on page 18.
Ê Press on the locking bar of the traverse and pull out the traverse a little.
Ê Unhook the traverse at the left side.
Ê Take out the traverse with the memory air duct carefully.

Removing the processor fan 1

Ê Remove the side cover as described in section "Opening the server" on
page 17.
Ê Remove the processor fan 2 as described in section "Removing the
processor fan 2" on page 17.
Ê Remove the system fan as described in section "Removing the system fan"
on page 18.
Ê Remove the traverse with the memory air duct as described in section
"Removing the memory air duct" on page 18.
