USING THE DRUM DRY KEY

During times of high humidity or when there is a drastic fluctuation in the ambient temperature, blurred or
fuzzy prints may be produced just after the Reader Printer is turned ON. This means that condensation has
formed on the surface of the photoconductor. To dry this condensation, please press the Drum Dry Key.
Certain components will be energized for a three-minute period to dry the surface of the photoconductor.
MEMO
Pressing the Drum Dry Key sets the machine not only into Drum Dry Mode, but also into Auxiliary Toner
Replenishing Mode, if the print image density has become lighter.
When a Toner Cartridge has been replaced with a new one, be sure to press the Drum Dry Key.
Before - Blurred, fuzzy print
After - Crisp, clear print
