(1) Non-redundant PSU configuration for 100 VAC power supply
The following section describes the power cable connection for non-redundant PSU
configuration with 100 VAC power supply.
l Number of power cables
Three power cables for a 100 VAC power supply (with parallel 2-pin plug with
ground wire) are supplied with the main unit.
Connect the main unit power cables to 100-120 VAC grounded outlets as shown in
Figure 2.6.
4If the main unit employs software for automatic power control and the mode
switch is set to UNLOCK or LOCK, plugging a power cable into an outlet may
automatically turn on the power. To prevent such an occurrence, set the mode
switch to MAINTENANCE before plugging the power cable into the outlet.
Note 1: The power cables are connected to the power supplies in the main unit on a
one-to-one correspondence. The main unit contains two power supplies in
the basic configuration. Installation of five or more CPUs requires a PSU
expansion unit. Three power cables, including one for a PSU expansion unit,
are supplied with the main unit. It is recommended that the power cable for a
PSU expansion unit be installed when the main unit is installed. If this has
been done, no additional power-related construction is required to install the
PSU expansion unit
Note 2: Each power cable must always be connected to a 100-120 VAC grounded
outlet.
