• Cleaning cartridge
Use the following cleaning cartridge in this unit.

• Cleaning the tape heads
When a cleaning cartridge is inserted into the DAT drive in the same way as a data
cartridge, head cleaning will start automatically. Head cleaning takes about 40
seconds. The cleaning cartridge is ejected automatically after cleaning is completed.
• Replacing the cleaning cartridge
Replace the cleaning cartridge in the following instances:
l When it has been used 50 times (may vary if also used with other devices)
l When a it is not automatically ejected within one minute of being inserted
l When the Clean LED does not stop blinking even after the cleaning cartridge has
been used
l When all the tape has been wound up onto the right-hand reel (cleaning tape cannot
be reused)
