Equipment damage
Observe the following procedures to prevent damage to the PRIMEPOWER850
rack-mount type (16U) server.
• Rack installation notes
Follow these procedures to ensure that safety requirements are addressed when this
product is installed in a rack.
l The PRIMEPOWER850 rack-mount type (16U) server is installed in a closed or
multi-unit rack assembly. The ambient operating temperature inside of the rack
environment may be greater than the room temperature. Make sure that the
PRIMEPOWER850 rack-mount type (16U) server is installed in an environment
that does not exceed the manufacturer's maximum rated ambient temperature.
- Adjust air conditioning and air circulation to prevent the internal rack ambient
temperature from exceeding the maximum operating temperature of this unit.
- Maximum internal operating temperature of this unit: 35 °C (95 °F).
l Install of the PRIMEPOWER850 rack-mount type (16U) server so that the amount
of air flow required for safe operation of the PRIMEPOWER850 rack-mount type
(16U) server is not compromised.
- The PRIMEPOWER850 rack-mount type (16U)
openings at the front and back faces of the unit.
- To prevent overheating, do not cover or close these ventilation openings.
