The basic version of the height-adjustable assembly workstation
comprises the frame of the table (Fig. 4/1), the Multilift II lifting col-
umns (Fig. 4/2) and the feet (Fig. 4/3).
The height-adjustable assembly workstation is used exclusively as
a workstation on which the work surfaces can be raised and low-
ered.
Height adjustment is performed using two-stage or three-stage
lifting columns.
On the two-stage lifting columns (e.g. Multilift II Standard
Ä page78) an internal profile is extended from and

retracted into the external profile, thus generating the lift move-
ment.
On the three-stage lifting columns (e.g. Multilift II telescope,
Ä page78) an internal and a middle profile are extended
Fig. 3/17,
from and retracted into the external profile, thus generating the lift
movement.
The lifting columns are driven using external controllers. A hand
switch for positioning the lifting columns is connected to the
external controller.
The following is a description of the special variants of the Multi-
lift II lifting columns.
