• Allow the wire brush to run at operating speed
for at least one minute before use. Make sure
that no one is in front of or in the same line as
the brush during this time. Caution! Loose piec-
es of wire may be flung out during the run-in
time.
• Point the rotating wire brush away from your-
self. Danger of injury! When working with wire
brushes, small particles and tiny pieces of wire
may be flung out at high speed and penetrate
through the skin.

Additional safety instructions

• Use appropriate suitable detectors to find hid-
den utility lines (e.g. water and gas lines or
power lines), or call the local utility company for
assistance. Contact with electric lines can lead to
fire and electric shock. Damaging a gas line can
lead to explosions. Damaging a water line causes
property damage by water.
• Always secure the workpiece adequately. A
workpiece secured in place using a clamping
device or vice is more secure than one held with
your hand.
