• Always wear personal protection gear. Depend-
ing on the application, full face protection, eye
protection and / or safety glasses. If necessary
and appropriate, wear dust mask, ear protec-
tion, protective gloves or special apron that
protects you from small grinding and material
particles. The eyes must be protected from for-
eign objects that are generated and dislodged by
the various applications. Dust mask or breathing
mask have to filter the generated dust. If you are
exposed to loud noise for long durations, you
may suffer hearing loss.
• Keep others at a safe distance from your work
area. Anyone entering the work area has to
wear personal protective gear. Broken tool bits
or fragments of the workpiece can be thrown
around and cause injuries even outside the im-
mediate work area.
• Hold the tool using its insulated gripping sur-
faces only when carrying out work where the
tool may come into contact with hidden wiring.
Contact with live wires can cause current to flow
through the metal parts of the power tool and
result in an electrical shock.
