Quick Start Guide

18.0 Aircraft Battery Safety Guidelines

To avoid fire, serious injury, and property damage, observe the following safety
guidelines when using, charging, or storing your batteries.

18.1 Battery Use

1) DO NOT allow the batteries to come into any kind of liquid. DO NOT leave batteries out in the rain or near a
source of moisture. DO NOT drop the battery into water. If the inside of the battery comes into water, chemical
decomposition may occur, potentially resulting in the battery catching on fire, and may even lead to an explosion.
2) Never use non-walkera batteries. Go to www. walkera.com to purchase new batteries.
Walkera takes no responsibility for any damage caused by non-walkera batteries.
3) Never use or charge swollen, leaky, or damaged batteries. If your batteries are abnormal, contact Walkera or
a walkera authorized dealer for further assistance.
4) The battery should be used in temperatures from 0 ℃ to 45 ℃ . Use of the battery in environments above 50 ℃
can lead to a fire or explosion. Use of battery below 0 ℃ the life cycle of battery will be damaged.
5) DO NOT use the battery in strong electrostatic or electromagnetic environments.
6) If the battery falls into water with the aircraft during flight, power off and take it out immediately and put it in
a safe and open area. Maintain a safe distance from the battery until it is completely dry. Never use the
battery again and dispose it properly.
7) Do not short-circuit the battery,short-circuiting the terminals may damage the battery or the connecting object.
8) Do not strike the battery. do not place heavy objects on the battery or charger.
9) Do not disassemble or modify, or any other purpose.
10) Please use the original charger to charge according to the standard procedure.
11) When the aircraft has low power and landed automatically, the battery should be charged in time.
12) Do not dispose of battery in a fire as they may explode, battery may also exploded if danged.
13) Do not place the battery as household waste. according to local regulations for proper disposal of discarded
the battery.
Notice:
The life of a lithium battery is calculated according to the number of cycles.the battery is charged
from full charge to deep discharge (all the remaining power in the battery is discharged). the life
of the lithium battery is about 200 cycles;
Please use the battery scientifically, you should try to avoid afte over-discharged,otherwise, the
over-discharge and charge will record the number of battery life cycles. as the number of times
of charging increases, the battery performance will slowly decrease.the battery life is also very short;
When the battery is fully charged and the flight time is noticeably shorter than normal, the battery
needs to be replaced.

18.2 Battery Storage

1) Do not expose the battery to sources such as open flames or heaters.
2) Keep the battery out of the reach of children.
3) Make sure the battery is stored at room temperature: around 25 degrees Celsius.
4) For batteries that are not used for a long time, please save the voltage between 45.6V and 46.2V.
5) When not in use for a long time, check the battery storage status every two weeks for abnormality. Charge
and discharge activation every two months to maintain battery stability.
