Each adapter ships with several numbers clearly marked on the circuit board. Record the following numbers before installation. Serial number – Assigned by Emulex. This is a delicate operation. Take care not to damage the optical transceiver. To remove a transceiver, pull the bail (handle) out and down to release the latch, and gently pull out the transceiver.
