14.2 Fault logs

All Faults occurring on the system – MX and connected OS are logged on the panel.
The fault log is accessible using the display under "Fault Log" option. Date and time
stamp is recorded for all faults. According to specifications by BS 5839:2011, all fault
indications are indicated within 100s of their occurrence. If any fault occurs while a
call is in progress, audible indication for fault is suppressed. It will be restored within
100s of ending of call.

Power Supply
In case of above faults, check the power connections – AC mains to pSu, pSu to
main board, pSu to battery, replacement of batteries. If the faults persist, call for
engineering support.
Network Faults –
CAN / Outstation loop
In case of above faults, check the loop wiring connections for any break or loose
connection. perform outstation learn procedure to confirm the changes in oS
position or addition.

Fault on OS wiring - data lines between Panel and OS
Fault on OS loop - data lines between Panel and OS,
data lines between OS-OS
Fault on OS loop – Power lines are shorted
Outstation previously configured is not responding
An unknown OS is added in the loop
Position/Address of OS is changed in the loop
Device connected is not recognized by the panel
