11.5 Configuration Files

VoCALL 16 enables saving configuration parameters of the system as a record.
Configuration files are stored on SD card.
Steps to save the configuration are as below:
1. Login as 'EnGInEEr 2'.
2. Go to option 'Install.' [#11]. Press 'Accept'
3. Go to option 'Config. Backup/restore'. Press 'Accept'
4. Select option 'Config. Backup'. Press 'Accept'
5. Panel will create and store the configuration file on SD card. The filename will
be date and time stamped.

It is recommended to save the configuration to SD Card once the installation
and configuration is complete or when any changes are made to
system settings.
The configuration file will be required to view logs stored on the SD card

using the log viewer application.
The saved configuration file can be used to restore the system configuration to an
earlier state. This can help in saving installation time when any device – panel or
outstation is replaced.
Steps to restore settings from an earlier stored config file.
1. Login as 'EnGInEEr 2'.
2. Go to option 'Install.' [#11]. Press 'Accept'
3. Go to option 'Config. Backup/restore'. Press 'Accept'
4. Select option 'Config. restore'. Press 'Accept'
5. Select the file. Press 'Accept'
6. Select the parameters to restore. Panel will undergo power cycle once restore
process is completed.
