Maintenance
9.7 Repairs
1. Clean the surfaces of the thyristors and heat sinks with ethanol.
2. Apply a thin coat of contact oil Cramolin B to the thyristor surfaces.
3. Then install the thyristor immediately, in the following sequence:
4. Fill in the thyristor numbers and the replacement data in the equipment installation log.
5. Check the following points:
6. Reconnect the gate lead. Take care that the transposition of the lead is correct.

Disconnecting the fiber-optic cables

Tools required
You require a fiber-optic cable cutter (Order No. A5E02615209) to cut the fiber-optic cables to
length.
98
– To do this, spray Cramolin B onto a lint-free cloth.
– Rub the contact surfaces of the thyristor with it.
– Push the thyristor from the front against the expanding rivets on the heat sink.
Make sure that the thyristor is seated correctly. It must be in contact with the expanding
rivets and seated centrally between the heat sinks.
Note
Pay attention to the mounting position, especially the polarity of the thyristor! The
adhesive symbols on the clamping pressure plates show information.
NOTICE
Material damage caused by incorrectly installing thyristor T901
The thyristor can fail if you install it incorrectly. The T901 thyristor is smaller and is
therefore centered on the split rivets using a centering bracket. The centering bracket
is a separate component. When the centering bracket is not seated correctly, the
thyristor may not be centered properly and the pressure may be distributed unevenly.
● Check that the centering bracket is properly seated.
– Tighten the clamping bolt
easily removed.
When the slot in the steel bolt is flush with the surface of the plate, the clamping force is
correctly set. Check that the slot is flush with your finger.
The first number on the label on the thyristor is the thyristor number.
– Are all heat sinks positioned at right angles and parallel to each other?
The heat sinks must not be skewed with respect to another.
– Are all thyristors and dummies in contact with their associated expanding rivets and
therefore seated centrally between the heat sinks?
