CHAPTER 7 TROUBLESHOOTING

The message "PLATEN IS OPEN CLOSETHE PLATEN" fails to go
OFF.
Sensor flag
1) Is the reader unit slide detecting switch (SW1) damaged or dis-
placed?
YES: Correct it.
If damaged, replace it.
Connector
2) Is the connection between the connector of the reader unit slide
detecting switch (SWI) and the connector 5314 on the image pro-
cessor PCB normal?
NO: Correct the connection.
Reader unit slide detecting switch (SWl), Image processor PCB
3) Iky replacing the reader unit slide detecting switch (SW1). Is
the
problem corrected?
YES: End.
NO: Replace the image processor PCB.
