Step 3 Select backup Device.
Step 4 Select upgrade file and click Upgrade. After the upgrade, reboot your video recorder to
activate the new firmware.

7.3.2 Online Upgrade

Purpose
We will upload latest upgrade file to Hik-Connect platform, you can upgrade video recorder with
latest online upgrade file.
Before you start
Enable Hik-Connect and configure its parameters. For details, refer to 5.2.2 Hik-Connect.
Step 1 Go to Maintenance.
Step 2 Click .
Step 3 Go to Online Upgrade.
Step 4 Upgrade video recorder. Choose from:
 Auto Download: If it is enabled, when we released a new version, video recorder will
automatically upgrade to the new version.
 Test Upgrade: Click Test Upgrade to check whether new version is available.
