COOKING TIPS

Use a meat thermometer to be sure food has reached a safe internal temperature.
SMOKE MODE
• The "LOW" settings are for smoking and adding smoke flavor to foods
being cooked.
• Smoke Mode can be adjusted from P0 to P7. P0 provides less smoke
into the cooking chamber and can be adjusted up to P7 for maximum
smoke.
• Adjusting the smoke mode to a higher setting will cause more fluctua-
tion in the temperature of the cooking chamber.
NOTE!
• INCREASING the "P" setting DECREASES the Fuel Feed Rate, (heat output). This will result
in LOWER grill output temperatures, lower pellet consumptions thus resulting in more
smoke flavor. Care must be taken not to increase the "P" setting to high, which could
result in the fire going out.
• DECREASING the "P" setting INCREASES the Fuel Feed Rate, (heat output). This will result
in HIGHER grill temperature output, higher pellet consumption thus higher grilling tempe-
rature. Care must be taken not to decrease the "P" setting to low, which will result in
overfeeding the pellets and the production of Creosote or incomplete combustion.

COOK MODE

• The temperature dial can be changed at any time to increase or de-
crease the cooking temperature of the barbecue.
• 205˚C to "HIGH" temperature settings are for grilling.
• 95˚C to 175˚C temperature settings are for slow cooking.
• Adjust the control knob to a desired temperature. The selected tempe-
rature will be in the bottom left hand corner of the digital display.
TURNING OFF THE BARBECUE
1. Turn the Temperature Dial to the "LOW" position and open the barbecues lid. Allow
the barbecue to run for a few moments in the "LOW" position and then turn to the
"OFF" position. Your barbecue will begin its automatic "Shut Down" procedure. The
Auger system will stop feeding fuel, the flame will burn itself out, and the combus-
tion / cooling fan will continue to run for a 5 minute period. When this procedure is
complete, the FAN will turn off.
2. Close the lid and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. When cool, cover for protection.
