External Ethernet interface with the intranet

Benefits: The external Ethernet interface is the basis for integration of a smart switchgear
assembly into IP communication and therefore into the digitalization.
Through this interface, detailed status and power monitoring and integration into the
application (see chapter Application examples (Page 61)) are possible. Default IP address to
X1P1: 192.168.0.2

Performance features of the external Ethernet interface

● Powerful Ethernet interface with 10/100/1000 Mbps.
● Strong security functions (see chapter Security features (Page 38)).
The security measures of the external interface are deactivated as standard. I.e. the
desired services must be explicitly activated for security.
● Interface with web browsers. Various browser types are supported.
● Interface with MindSphere, the Siemens operating system for the Internet of Things (IoT).
● An IP interface for the SENTRON devices connected to the smart assembly network and
their information.
● NTP for time synchronization
The external Ethernet interface has the same data transmission features as the internal
interface. You will find more information in chapter Application examples (Page 61).
