Hygiene
General
In order to prevent a risk to health, e.g. an
infection occurring through a contaminated
nebulizer, it is imperative that the following hygiene
regulations are followed.
The nebulizer is designed for multiple uses. Please be
aware that there are different hygiene requirements
for different fields of application.
– at home (single patient use):
The nebulizer must be cleaned after each use and
disinfected once a week.
– hospital / doctor's practice (possible change in
patient): The nebulizer must be cleaned, disinfected
and sterilized after each use.
– Additional requirements which regard to necessary
hygienic preparations (hand care, handling medication
and / or inhalation solutions) in the case of high-
risk groups (e.g. patients with cystic fibrosis) can be
obtained from the respective self-help groups.
Use of the stated cleaning alternatives is done on the
responsibility of the user.
