Make sure that all parts are firmly connected.
Make sure that the tubing is connected
firmly to the air outlet of the nebulizer and the
compressor. The medication nebulization can be
adversely affected by an incorrectly assembled
nebulizer.
1. Sit in an upright position and relax. Switch on the
compressor.
2. Take the mouth piece between your teeth and
surround it with your lips resp. hold the mask firmly
over your mouth and nose.
3. Breathe in as gently as possible through the mouth
piece or mask.
4. Breathe out gently through the mouth piece or mask.
The exhaled air passes through the expiratory valve
in the mouth piece (valve opens automatically) resp.
through the apertures in the mask.
5. Repeat inhalation and exhalation as described until
a change in the tone of the nebulizer signals that
the nebulization has finished.
6. Then check whether a clearly visible aerosol mist is
still flowing out of the mouth piece resp. mask.
7. Stop treatment as soon as the aerosol emerges
irregularly.
