Removing Power from the System

Before performing setup or maintenance tasks, use the following procedure to
ensure that power has been removed from the system.
1. Use the operating system to power down the system, following the on-screen
prompts.
2. After the system has completely shut-down, carefully grasp the head of the
power cord and gently pull it out of the back of the power supply. For the
6018R-MDR, remove the cords from both power supply modules.
3. Disconnect the power cord(s) from the power strip or wall outlet.

Removing the Chassis Cover

You may need to remove the top cover to access the inside of the system for some
of the procedures desccibed in this chapter.
Removing the Chassis Cover
1. Remove the thumb screw securing the top cover to the chassis.
2. Remove the two screws on the sides of the chassis.
3. Lift the cover up and off of the chassis.
