What to do next
Prepare the system for operation. For instructions, see "Preparing the 8335-GTC, 8335-GTG, 8335-GTH,
8335-GTW, or 8335-GTX system for operation after you remove and replace internal parts" on page 202.
Upgrading system processor modules in a 8335-GTW or 8335-GTX system
To upgrade system processor modules, complete the steps in this procedure.
Before you begin
8335-GTW or 8335-GTX systems do not support mixing system processors with different DDx.y levels.
You should only complete this procedure if you are removing and replacing all of the system processor
modules with new system processor modules.
Procedure
1. Review the following table to determine which firmware level is compatible with the new system
processor modules you are installing.
System processor module level
DD2.1
DD2.2
DD2.3
2. Update the system firmware to a version that is compatible with the new system processor modules
you are installing.
For instructions, see Getting fixes.
3. Remove all the system processor modules.
