Cleaning the Sensors

The sensor installed in the buckle chute is used to detect the sheets and count the number of sheets that have
been fed.
When the surface of the sensor is contaminated with paper dust, the folding action may be uneven.
Clean the sensor on the 2nd
stopper from this side.

1st stopper from the top.

Detecting Area
Remove the support table.
Pull out the buckle chute.
- Slowly pull out the buckle chute in the direction shown
by the arrow until it stops.
Open the buckle chute cover.
- One sensor is installed on both the 1st and 2nd
stoppers.
Move each sensor to make it easier to
clean.
Turn the correct stopper knob to move the sensor you
want to clean.
Clean the detecting area on the sensor.
- Clean the detecting area on the sensor using a cotton-
tipped swab or something similar.
- Do not lift the sensor.
WARNING
- Be careful not to cut your finger on the
edge of the buckle chute.
