Use of a new battery (04_13,

Make sure the starter switch is
in the "OFF" position.
•
Remove the saddle.
•
Unscrew the two screws (1) and
move the lock (2).
•
Unscrew and remove the screw
(3) from the negative lead (-).
•
Move the negative cable (4) to
04_13
the side.
•
Unscrew and remove the screw
(5) from the positive lead (+).
•
Move the positive cable (6) to
the side.
•
Take a firm grip on the battery
(7) and remove it from its hous-
ing, lifting it perpendicularly from
its housing.
•
Place the battery on a flat sur-
face, in a cool and dry place.
•
Replace the saddle.

To install a new battery, follow the
steps described in inverse order.
IMPORTANT
WHEN REPLACING, CONNECT THE
CABLE WITH THE POSITIVE LEAD (+)
FIRST, AND THEN THE NEGATIVE (-).
MAKE SURE THAT THE LEADS OF
THE CABLES AND THE BATTERY
TERMINALS ARE:

S'assurer que le commutateur
d'allumage soit sur « OFF ».
•
Déposer la selle.
•
Dévisser les deux vis (1) et dé-
placer la butée (2).
•
Dévisser et enlever la vis (3) de
la borne négative (-).
•
Déplacer latéralement le câble
négatif (4).
•
Dévisser et enlever la vis (5) de
la borne positive (+).
•
Déplacer latéralement le câble
positif (6).
•
Saisir solidement la batterie (7)
et la retirer de son logement en
la soulevant perpendiculaire-
ment au logement.
•
Ranger la batterie sur une sur-
face horizontale, dans un en-
droit frais et sec.
•
Replacer la selle.
Pour l'installation d'une batterie neu-
ve, effectuer les opérations décrites
en sens inverse.
ATTENTION
LORS DU REMONTAGE, BRANCHER
D'ABORD UN CÂBLE SUR LA BORNE
POSITIVE (+) ET ENSUITE L'AUTRE
CÂBLE SUR LA BORNE NÉGATIVE (-).
