Replacement routines
Ê Hold the system board on both sides and lift it carefully out of the housing.
Installing the system board
Ê Insert the system board at a slight angle and slide the connectors through
the recesses on the rear side.
Ê Carefully lower the system board into the housing.
If necessary, adjust the position of the system board by turning it slightly until
the screw holes align with the threads on the floor plate.
Ê Fasten the system board with 11 screws.
Ê Reconnect all cables.

Ê Reinstall the riser card holders (the relevant procedure is described in the
Options Guide).
Ê Reinstall the air duct, the heat sink(s) and processor(s)
(the relevant procedure is described in the Options Guide).
Ê Reinstall the memory modules (the relevant procedure is described in the
Options Guide).
Ê Close the server and connect all power plugs (for a detailed description see
the Options Guide).

After installing the new system board, it is important that you perform the
following steps to ensure faultless operation:
– update the BIOS firmware.
– set the BIOS defaults
– define the customer-specific settings
– recalibrate the fans
